What types of events does the food truck serve?
The food truck primarily serves 3 types of events: hosted, private, and public. A hosted event is paid for in full by the event host and the event guests can keep their wallets tucked away. For both private and public events, each guest will pay for their own food. The difference is a private event is for invited guests only (for example, a company or neighborhood block party) while a public event is open to everybody (such as a carnival or street fair).What are the fees for hosted events?
Our hosted events require a $500 truck rental fee, a $1500-$2500 food sales minimum, and 18% gratuity for our food truck team. To reach our minimum we recommend having at least 150-250 guests.What are the fees for private events?
Our private events require a $500 refundable deposit. This is to ensure that our sales minimum ($1500-$2500) is met. If the minimum is met, you would receive a 100% refund of the deposit. If the food sales fall short of the minimum, the deposit would be used to cover the difference.What are the fees for public events?
If we are open to the public and each person is paying for themselves, we do not charge any extra fees. We do recommend having at least 200 people in attendance per food truck.Schmidt’s food trucks are booked the day of my event or we have less than 100 guests, are there any alternatives?
Yes! Schmidt’s Catering is an excellent option if our trucks cannot serve your event. For all catering related questions please email Kristen Kahrs at kristen.kahrs@schmidthospitality.com (minimum 20 people for catering)
